Wow, its been a REALLY long time.....

No pics in this post but I will update you on our life since its been almost 3 months since I posted.

Ava is 2 1/2 and completely potty trained now and we are so very proud of her. She is so proud of herself everytime she goes and its so cute! She is so smart for 2 1/2 and Im not just saying that because she is mine. Its amazing the personality she has and the things she can come up with. She is so much fun and an all around good girl. She is so much like Daddy and I love it. She gets more and more beautiful everyday (if thats possible) Really the only big update I have on her is the potty training thing.

Aidyn will be 5 months old tomorrow (if you can believe it). He is getting so big. I weighed him on Thursday and he weighs 14lbs 14oz which is half of Ava's weight. That is nuts to me bc he was so little when he was born and we didn't think he would ever catch up. He is now almost sitting up on his own and he picks his head up off the floor when he laying on his stomach. He gets cuter and cuter everyday!

Update on me....well I've been a little stressed out lately bc most of you know I work for Alltel and Alltel was bought out by Verizon in January. As of right now I have a job but we were told in April that our store was closing on July 11th and we were not guaranteed a job when it does close. First they told us we would be finding out in June if we had a job or not and now we are being told we won't find out until July 1 -12. Keep in mind we close July 11.....so basically they are giving us 0-10 days to know if we have a job or not and to find a new one if we don't. We will get severance pay and things but when you have a family, that money may not go very far. So everyone please be in prayer for myself and my family including all of my co-workers.

As far as summer we haven't really done much so far. We did take Ava to Busch Gardens last month and ended up getting Annual Passes bc we had so much fun. Hoping to go back very soon! In July we will be taking a vacation with my bestfriend Vanessa and her boyfriend Matt to Key West! We are so very excited about that and CANNOT wait! Forrest and I have not been on a "vacation" since our Honeymoon 4 years ago, which is hard to believe bc time has went by so fast but we really need this vacation. So anyway, not much else to report! Its really sad that its been almost 3 months since I've posted and yet I really have nothing to report. Hopefully will be putting up some pics soon. Hope you all enjoyed our updates!

4 wonderful years!

On March 5, 2009 Forrest and I celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary! I can't believe we have been married 4 years let alone together for 8 years. These have been the best years of my life. We have 2 beautiful children and I couldn't imagine life without him. We are so blessed to have our own home, 2 brand new cars and honestly not be hurting for anything. God has been so good to us and we are soooooo blessed, I can't say that enough.

To celebrate our anniversary we went out the Saturday after to dinner at Yamatos (our favorite resturant) with my mom, dad, Kara and our kiddos. His family couldn't make it because of some illness but we had fun just wish they could have been there! This is the first year that both families haven't been together to go out to dinner with us! One Proud Mommy and Aunt!!

This past Sunday March 1 Ava and my nephew Case were a big part of the service at Case's church. Forrest and I don't normally attend their church but this Sunday was special because Ava has been going to church with Aunt Charlie (Charlotte) and Uncle Duke along with Case on Sunday nights for youth church. Little did we know that she was preparing to sing this past Sunday in church! So this last Sunday we got a special treat and Ava sang in church with her class that she has been attending. Case also preached the sermon and he did an amazing job. Here are some pics from Ava singing and Case preaching, they both made me proud! He's a month old!!

So Aidyn turned a month old on Sunday February 15th! I still can't believe he is here not to mention a month old already! He is getting so big already, last time I took him to the Dr he was 19 inches long and was 5lbs 8oz! I weighed him on Monday and he was 7lbs 8.5oz, I don't know what his length is but I know he is definitely getting longer! He goes back to the Dr. on March 20 and we will find out how long he is! He has to get 3 shots at that appointment and I'm not looking forward to it! Here is Aidyn at a month old!

A new toy!

Ava has been wanting a motorized car and we are waiting to save up money to get her the one we really want to get her but her little friend Sydney got a Gator for Christmas and they like to fight over it so my mom got Ava and Quad for $25 bucks off of Craigs List! She absolutely loves it and she will soon have her motorized car but we want it to be perfect so for now she has her Quad and she is happy! Here are some pics of her and Ninny cleaning it up before she rode it.

I was so glad to hear that my Aunt Sharon and Aunt Lisa were going to make a special stop at my house on their way to start their vacation! I felt so special!! They really just came to see the kiddos but I like to think they came to see me too. I love them both very much and Im so glad they got to stop by and see us. They hadn't seen Aidyn since they went with me to see him in the hospital and my Aunt Sharon was so glad to see that he had grown since she had seen him last. She said when she saw him in the hospital that she had never seen a baby so small so she was so excited to see he was bigger. We had lots of fun for the time that they were here. They didn't get to stay long but Im grateful for the time they did get to stay. I love you both so much if you read this!!

Wow its been a long time!!

Its been so long Ive just decided to start from January and update from there! We had a wonderful New Year. It was just Forrest, Ava and I and we just sat around and relaxed!

Im sure everyone has heard by now but we now have a new addition to the family that no one thought would be here for another week (if I would have been induced on the 11th) or another 2 weeks (if I went to my due date on the 16th). Little did we know that Aidyn wanted to be here so soon and would be here on Jan. 15, 2009! I started having contractions around the 1st of January but had been to the Dr and hadnt had any change in dialation and I wasn't swollen or anything so she just decided that if I made it she would induce me on the Feb. 11th. So jump ahead a couple of weeks to Jan. 5....this day I was having really bad contractions and I already had a Dr. appt so I just waited it out until it was time to go to the Dr at 10:30, I left work and planned on going back but that didn't happen, my Dr. sent me home on bedrest for a week. So then jump ahead to Jan. 13....this day I had to close my store which means I had to work from 11:00 to 8:30 and by 2:30 I was so swollen that I could hardly walk my legs were hurting so bad but I decided to just tough it out and call my Dr the next day if things weren't better. On Jan. 14 I was having slight contractions but the thing that worried me the most was that I had a headache that I couldn't get rid of and I was swelling really bad and very rapidly (which my Dr said to call her at first signs) so that is what I did. She told me to come in so that she could check my blood pressure and some other things to make sure everything was ok. Well, when I got there my blood pressure was elevated and I had some protein traces, so then she checked to make sure I wasn't dialated and I was dialated to 2 1/2 cm (which on Jan 5 I wasn't dialated AT ALL). So she decided she wanted to send me to L&D to do some lab work because she would get the results back immediately, she also wanted to monitor me and baby. So I called my mom and she couldn't make it to the hospital at that point so she called Kara and Kara came to be with me as soon as she got off work. Well around 6:30 pm the Dr on call came up to check on me and give me the results of all my blood work, he stated that my platelet count was extremely low and I was severely anemic so he wanted to keep me overnight and do a 24 hour urine test and more blood work, he then checked to see if I was dialated and little did we know that when he checked me I would be 4 CM!!! I was in full blown labor and at this point they didn't want to stop labor because there was obviously a reason I had went into labor and Aidyn knew he shouldn't be in there anymore. The Dr. also made me aware at this point that I was unable to get an epidural because my platelet count was too low and they were worried about a blood clot forming in my spine when they would put the epidural in. At this point I was extremely scared that I wouldn't be able to do this. The night went on and I progressed to 5 cm by 8:30 and they broke my water. At this point everything gets a little blurry because I started getting extremely tired and contractions were getting really bad since they had broken my water. I can't remember what time they actually started the pitocin but once that was started everything progressed very quickly. I know around 9:30 am the nurse came in to check me because I was feeling a little pressure and she said I was 9 cm and it would probably be another hour so she left and literally 5 mins later I screamed get the nurse I have to push! She came in and checked me and I was 10 cm and everyone was scrambling to get things ready. It seemed like an eternity before they got everything ready and my Dr got there. Everyone says I only pushed for 5 or 10 mins but to me it seemed like forever. Our little man was born at 9:47 am on Jan. 15, 2009!! He was a healthy boy but needed some help breathing because his lungs were not developed all the way and he also still had the fluid in his chest that apparently they have while in the womb and they get rid of before their born but because he was born 5 weeks early it was still there so he needed help breathing. I got to see him for about 5 secs before they whisked him away to the NICU and then I didn't get to see him again until about 4:30 pm that night. That was the longest time ever!! When we went to see him this is what we saw......



This obviously scared us to death but we knew we had alot of people praying for him and that he would soon be well and coming home with us. That night around 8:30pm the Dr from the NICU called and told us that he was going to have to be transferred to Shands NICU and they would be life flighting him there in about an hour and we needed to come and see him off. This was devastating for me because I wasn't being released from the hospital at this point and I actually had to end up staying 2 days after he was transferred. I got discharged on that Saturday Jan 17 and we went straight to see him. When we got there this is what we saw...



At this point he was on a ventilator and was very swollen from all the fluid on him! He stayed in Shands until Jan 22 and then he was transferred back to North Florida (where he was born). He did very well everyday but it was a very hard process because the more he got better the harder it was for us to understand why he couldn't come home. On Jan 29 they asked me to stay overnight with him in the hospital so that I could learn techniques to feed him incase he wasn't eating his minimums as required. Well I stayed and he did extremely well for me so on Friday Jan 30 it was time for him to come home after a very LONG 2 weeks!!
